Certified members of The Association of Registered Health Care Professionals must conduct themselves professionally and maintain the highest level of excellence in the health care profession. - Registered Health Care Professionals shall respect the rights of their employers, patients and fellow coders at all times.
- Certificants shall adhere to a stringent code of ethics when dealing with these colleagues, clients, employers and patients.
- Registered Health Care Professionals shall perform legally and fairly in the professional arena.
- Certificants shall respect the laws and integrity of The Association of Registered Health Care Professionals, and adhere to the Association's Mission Statement.
- Registered Health Care Professionals shall not engage in unlawful acts, and shall not condone unlawful acts by others in whole or in part.
- Above all, certificants shall uphold a strong sense of moral and ethical standards to best represent the ARHCP.
If students are determined to be in violation of the code of ethics and discipline, they will be expelled from the ARHCP association, forfeit any certification previously attained and will not be allowed readmission into the program. |
