This pre-certification program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing coding certification and advancing into a coding position within a medical practice.

Students who have very limited or no experience in anatomy, terminology and practical coding experience must complete the RMC-A before sitting for the comprehensive Registered Medical Coder (RMC) Certification Exam. While not a certification program, students who complete the a self-directed RMC educational courses will receive a certificate of completion (total of 6 hours of Continuing Education Units) and will be better equipped to complete the RMC Certification Program.
