Do you ... feel hesitant or nervous about giving us your credit card information over the Internet? We understand why you would be nervous, but there are some facts you should know.
We process orders on a "secure
server." This means that when you are in the Medword Store and submit your
personal payment information a secure communications connection is created between
Medword's server and your browser. The Medword secure server uses super-strong
128-bit SSL encryption - the world's most powerful. 128-bit SSL encryption has never
been broken and it would take a trillion-trillion years to crack using today's technology.
"Secure servers" are a very big deal. In the simplest terms, this
means you can send us information safely without fear of it being stolen. A lot of
companies accept payments without using secure servers because they will not pay
to get the certificate or do not have the technical expertise required to set up
their order or payment forms securely. It costs Medword a lot of money to provide
this kind of security for your peace of mind, but we think you and your privacy are worth it. In addition, we only allow orders to be shipped to the cardholder's address. This means if you lose your credit card & someone tries to use it to buy a product from Medword, they won't be able to submit an address of their own, which is what credit card or identity thieves usually do. Another way Medword ensures your privacy is with our policy of never, we repeat, never, sharing, leasing, selling, or otherwise using your e-mail address & personal infomraton. The only exception to this policy, is, of course, sharing this information with our suppliers so they may complete the sale and ship your product.
When in the store, click on the GeoTrust image and see that Medword has a valid security certificate. If
you are still worried about giving information or credit card numbers over the Internet, some
of our merchants allow you to
mail in an order form if that makes you feel more comfortable (Just choose "Print
Form For Mail-in Check or Money Order" as a payment option when checking out
of the Medword Store - This method does not obligate you to complete the sale and
no payment information is taken). However the fastest and easiest
way to order a product from the Medword site is by using our shopping cart system
and paying by credit card.
