 | | Medword's secure product pages, secure order pages, and secure server system are designed specifically for your privacy and payment security. Medword is very diligent in monitoring the secure system to ensure that your information is safe. It is extremely rare that any problems you are encountering are due to a fault of our system. When you request access to a secure product page or order page, our secure server attempts to make a direct and secure connection with your web browser. If it cannot do this your information would be at risk for viewing by others. Therefore, if our system cannot make a secure connection you will not be served the secure page you requested. There are many, many reasons why a secure connection may not be made. Here are some of the reasons for unsuccessful accessing of secure pages:
- Many Internet Service Providers cache pages on their system. This caching, or storing, of pages allows you, the user, to access the page you requested faster than if your browser actually went to the site and "fetched" the page. This is a common practice and usually ensures that your page requests are fulfilled quickly and seamlessly by your Internet Service Provider. However, it is the responsibility of the Internet Service Provider to ensure that pages that are cached are current copies of pages from the web site you are accessing. If your ISP has cached some of our secure pages for instance, you will not get a secure connection because our system will know that the connection with you is not direct and therefore not safe for use or capable of secure encryption. You can try pressing your "control" <CTRL> key while clicking on the "Refresh" button of your browser and this will sometimes force the browser to retrieve the page from the web site and not from your ISP's cache system. Some ISP cache systems are persistent though and you still may not get a fresh page from our site.
- Your own computer may be accessing a cached version of a secure page of Medword's that you were on at some other time, even if it was just a couple of minutes ago. If you think this may be the problem, consult your browser's help feature to find out how to clear your browser's cache. This will effectively flush all copies of recent page visits from your computer system, ensuring that when you request a page your browser will actually be served a current page from our web site.
- If you are not using a current web browser capable of handling today's encryption techniques, you will not be able to make a proper connection with one of our secure pages. If your browser is not compatible, it is probably an older version. You may want to consider upgrading your browser to the latest version. Both Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers are free. Just click here to get a free Netscape browser, and click here to get a free Internet Explorer browser. Both handle today's technologically advanced state-of-the-art security encryption methods.
- You may also have a problem if our server is extremely busy handling requests for pages from users. This is unusual, but it certainly may happen and in that situation you may find you are connecting very slowly or not being able to connect at all. We recommend that you try to access the page(s) again later.
- You may also have a problem accessing secure pages if the Internet is very busy with a lot of users. Most "savvy" Internet users know that after midnight or one a.m. is usually the best time for accessing pages, especially pages to purchase products, as the Internet traffic is much lower than in the day, which usually makes your experience trouble-free and more enjoyable.
If you want to buy a product through Medword and simply cannot access our secure pages properly to do so, then the best thing to do is to call our toll-free number at 1-877-701-6868 and leave a message stating: your name - say it slowly please; your phone number - say it slowly please; the time zone you are calling from; what product you are interested in buying; and just mention that you were having trouble accessing our secure pages. We will get back to you as fast as we possibly can.
