RIGHT SHOULDER

No evidence of any soft tissue calcification is seen. However, there is slight widening to the acromioclavicular joint. Although I did not see any fracture in this area or any degenerative change, it is possible there may be a partial separation and stress films are recommended for further follow-up. Otherwise, no other abnormality is seen.

RIGHT FOREARM & ELBOW

The proximal portion of the radius, including the radial head has been removed. Moderately-advanced degenerative changes are seen at the articulation between the distal humerus and the ulna. All the regional bones are of normal density and no evidence of any fracture is identified.

LEFT HAND

All the regional bones are fairly well mineralized and no fracture or dislocation is present. Advanced degenerative osteoarthritis is seen involving the interphalangeal joint of the thumb and also between the base of the first metacarpal and the greater multangular. Mild osteoarthritic changes are also noted involving the distal interphalangeal joints of the second-to-fifth fingers inclusive.

RIGHT RIBS

An undisplaced fracture of the lateral aspect of the right eighth rib is demonstrated. Multiple areas of subsegmental atelectasis are noted within the right lower lobe associated with a small right-sided pleural effusion and these latter two changes are secondary to the rib fracture. The only other finding of note is that the heart is moderately enlarged.

SINUSES

All the paranasal sinuses are normally aerated without any evidence of mucosal thickening or air-fluid levels. Moderate mucosal swelling was however noted over all the nasal turbinates. No retention cyst was present within the right maxillary sinus.
